Why Asia?

Asia remains the strongest, most mature and most stable market for recruiting. According to the most recent Open Doors statistics, 59% of all international students in the U.S. come from Asia and the region as a whole reported a 5% increase over 2006. In East Asia, strong enrollment increases were reported by China, South Korea, and Taiwan. China remains the second largest sending country and is up 8% over the previous year. South Korea reported an increase of 6% and with over 62, 000 students in the U.S is the third largest sending country. In Southeast Asia, enrollments increased by 2% with both Thailand and Vietnam reporting gains. Vietnam in particular is on an upward trend. With an increase of 31%, it moves into the top 20 sending countries for the first time.

This year’s tour begins in the Southeast and includes stops in Bangkok, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, and Kuala Lumpur . Hong Kong serves as the midpoint of the tour and the transition from southeast to northeast. Following Hong Kong, the tour stops in Shanghai, Beijing and Seoul and ends in Tokyo. Eight of the nine stops on the tour are among the top 20 sending countries.

The Asia Tour offers our tour members a comprehensive schedule designed to provide them with a strong professional program as well as opportunities to see and experience some of the incredible cities in Asia.
