Education/Current Student Market
There were 939 Costa Rican students in the U.S. in 2007 which
is approximately 5% more than the previous year.
Most Costa Rican students who study in the U.S. attend at
the undergraduate level (48%) and study business and engineering.
At the graduate level (40%), most students study business,
followed by agriculture and physical science.
Of the 221 registered students at the Linden Fall 2007 San
Jose fair:
The average TOEFL score of those who took the test was
638
Business (17%) and engineering (10%) and Health Sciences
(7%) were the preferred fields of study.
