Linden staff members are education and enrollment management professionals with extensive international experience. All are active members of NAFSA: Association of International Educators and the Overseas Association of College Admission Counselors. Although most tours last from two to three weeks, the staff is involved in administrative and planning activities throughout the year. Individual staff members have a regional focus, enabling them to be sources of knowledge from which tour members and institutions seeking consultations can draw. Each tour is led by one tour leader from the staff and, in most cases, an assisting tour leader responsible for logistics and programming.
John's career in directing enrollment management offices has spanned more than twenty-five years at both the university and boarding school levels. John, too, has overseen, and often created, the international offices at his institutions and has vast experience establishing exchanges, partnerships, and programmes in places such as Cuba, Japan, South Africa, Malaysia, the British Virgin Islands among others. John received his Masters degree in International Relations in Paris, France and is involved both professionally and personally in international organizations that work with global issues such as poverty, education, child welfare and the empowerment of women.
JoBeth Brudner is Managing Director of Linden Educational Services. Prior to joining Linden, JoBeth was the coordinator of the EducationUSA advising centers throughout Argentina, 1989-1998. JoBeth represented Latin America on the NAFSA: Association for International Educators OSEAS Leadership team from 1993-1996. She has been an active member of NAFSA and presenter at several national and international conferences. JoBeth began leading tours for Linden in 1998, and for many years her region of expertise was Latin America. JoBeth broadened her regional expertise to include India and other countries in South Asia in 2008 and started leading tours in the Middle East in 2012. JoBeth enjoys absorbing different cultures while traveling the world.
Kathy joined Linden full time in June 2004. She has led several tours to Asia, India, Latin America and the Middle East. Before Linden, Kathy lived in Brazil for more than 20 years, where she directed and taught in a large English as a Foreign Language (EFL) program and coordinated the EducationUSA office at Associação Alumni in Sao Paulo. Kathy also worked at Ohio University, where she was the Associate Director of the Intensive English Program, responsible for developing and implementing ESL programs for students, training programs for teachers and recruiting new students. Kathy received her Masters degree from the School for International Training in Vermont. She is an active member of OACAC and NAFSA.
Tisha is the Communciations Coordinator for Linden Educational Services. She previously worked at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) where she was both an instructor and Special Programs Assistant for their University Extension campus. Prior to that, she taught for three years abroad in the Guangdong Province of Southern China. Tisha received her Master’s in Education with an emphasis on Universal Design for Learning from the University of San Diego. During her time at both UCR and abroad, Tisha has gained experience working with international students from all around the world.
Alex has over a decade of experience working in international education as an instructor, administrator, school director, and regional manager with organizations in Europe, America, and East Asia. Alex studied at Penn State University with a concentration in Service Management and International Studies and has a Master’s in International Education from Drexel University in Philadelphia. His career has focused on working with international students, helping them reach their educational goals at home and abroad. He loves experiencing new cultures and has studied language in Poland, Korea, and China.
Donald Occhiuzzo first went to Brazil from New York looking for adventure, intending to stay for six months. Three decades later, Sao Paulo remains his home. With an Ed.D. in International Education from Teachers College--Columbia University and an M.A. in ESOL from the School for International Training, he was the Educational and Cultural Director of the Brazil-U.S. Binational Center for many years, Director of World Learning-Brazil and principal of a Brazilian private school. Donald now works as a consultant, providing support services to institutions and educators seeking development, and he enjoys being one of Linden's Latin America tour leaders.
Gregory T. Walker’s extensive experience working with international students includes 11 years of experience as an international admissions officer for three U.S. universities. In 1996, he led his first recruitment tour and since that time has organized and led successful tours in Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, India and the Caribbean. He has been an active member of NAFSA as well as a presenter at several national and international conferences and has developed and facilitated international recruitment workshops. His work has also included consulting roles with the College Board, AMIDEAST, American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) as well as with a number of international corporations. With an educational background in Latin American Studies, Organizational and Cross-Cultural Communication and TESOL, Greg enjoys working with the Linden clients as they travel throughout the world.
The Advisory Committee advises Linden on tour design and policy guidelines. Comprised of international enrollment management officers and cross-cultural consultants who have participated in or led tours for Linden, the Advisory Committee is also responsible for the selection of new tour members.
